Manukau Dog
Training Club.

Manukau Dog
Training Club (MDTC) is one of many dog training clubs
in New Zealand. It
first started in 1972, and has been growing ever since.
We now have over 200 members and train every Tuesday and
Thursday nights.
The Club teaches
both Obedience and Agility disciplines, from beginners to
competition levels, and many of our members do
both.
Who runs
Manukau Dog Training
Club?
The Club is run by
a committee made up of a President, Vice President,
Treasurer, Secretary and a committee. The AGM is held
once a year in February. Committee meetings are held on
the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 8:00pm in the Club
Rooms. If there is anything you would like raised at a
meeting please let a committee member
know.
New
Zealand Kennel
Club
The New Zealand
Kennel Club is the prevailing body in NZ looking after
all things canine! Dog Clubs are required to subscribe,
thence becoming registered, and are required to adhere to
certain standards and conduct as laid down by the Kennel
Club.
It is also where
dogs can be registered, which is compulsory, if the dog
is to enter Breed Shows or Championship Obedience and
Agility Shows. To join the NZ Kennel Club, you must be a
member of an affiliated dog club, which Manukau Dog
Training Club is. As an independent member of NZKC you
receive a monthly magazine "The Kennel Gazette" in which
can be found some interesting articles, breed information
and show dates and results. Copies are available in our
Clubrooms.
